Robert A. Duffey Memorial Award (1955)The most distinguished award available to a Georgetown student-athlete is the Robert A. Duffey Memorial Award, presented annually since 1955 to the outstanding scholar athlete among all men's and women's intercollegiate teams at Georgetown University. Belt Award (2012-2019)
The Belt Award is presented to members of the team who earn the respect of his teammates and coaches for hard work in practice, in the weight room and in film sessions and team meetings. It was originally named for Dan Lenihan (C'2012), a four year letterman from 2007 through 2011 who regularly presented a weighlifting belt to the hardest working player following a practice, and was known simply as the Belt Award. |
Ty Williams Award (2015)The Ty Williams SISU Award, representing determination and resilience, is named for Tyrell (Ty) Williams, who was paralyzed on the second play of the 2015 season opener. Following hospitalization, he returned to school, and through extensive rehabilitation was able to walk across the stage at his graduation in 2018.
